History & atmosphere
Baha Mar is an ultra-modern resort complex on Cable Beach near Nassau, which opened after a lengthy construction in 2017 and immediately became home to the largest casino in the Caribbean. The gaming floor of about 9,300 square metres is bathed in natural light thanks to panoramic windows overlooking the turquoise sea, giving the atmosphere a light, resort-like feel rather than an enclosed Vegas one. The complex brings together three global-brand hotels — Grand Hyatt, Rosewood and SLS — a Jack Nicklaus golf course, a huge water park and the ESPACio gallery of Bahamian art. Beyond the slots and tables, guests can play high stakes in private salons, enjoy a world-class spa and dine at restaurants from famous chefs. Baha Mar quickly became the main magnet for affluent tourists seeking a blend of beach relaxation and gambling under the tropical sun.
