History & atmosphere
Circa opened in the autumn of 2020 and became the first entirely new-from-scratch resort in several decades in the historic heart of Las Vegas, on the pedestrian Fremont Street. The project of brothers Derek and Greg Stevens is a firmly adults-only establishment: only guests over the age of 21 are admitted, no children. Circa's main pride is Stadium Swim, a three-tiered amphitheatre with six pools and a huge screen several storeys tall, where sporting events are broadcast year-round. Here too is the world's largest sportsbook, with a giant multi-storey LED screen that has become a Mecca for betting fans. Circa brought gambling and energy back to downtown, which had long lagged behind the glitz of the Strip. The resort is known for its retro-futuristic design, the rooftop Legacy Club nightclub with city views and the spirit of classic yet modernized gambling Vegas. It is a bold and distinctive choice away from the tourist crush of the boulevard.
