History & atmosphere
City of Dreams Mediterranean is Europe's first world-class integrated resort casino, opened by the Hong Kong operator Melco Resorts on 10 July 2023 on the coast of Limassol. The nearly 15-acre complex is crowned by a fourteen-storey, 500-room hotel, and its 7,500-square-metre gaming floor became the largest in Europe. The atmosphere here is Mediterranean-bright and luxurious: marble foyers, designer chandeliers and panoramic sea views sit alongside rows of machines and tables for baccarat and poker. Beyond gambling, the resort offers heated pools with lagoons, a spa, eight restaurants ranging from Mediterranean to Pan-Asian cuisine, and halls for conferences and weddings. Melco positions the property as a year-round magnet meant to turn Cyprus into the region's gambling capital and revive tourism in the off-season. It is the flagship of a new wave of legal gaming in the Eastern Mediterranean.
