History & atmosphere
The Cosmopolitan opened at the very end of 2010 and quickly earned a reputation as the most stylish, youth-oriented resort on the Strip. Its signature feature is the famous Chandelier, a bar built inside a giant three-story chandelier made of more than two million shimmering crystals. The hotel occupies two towers with a rare-for-Vegas luxury — spacious terraces overlooking the Bellagio fountains across the street. The Cosmopolitan bet on design, art and atmosphere: digital art installations in the lobby columns, a secret unmarked pizza spot, trendy restaurants and Marquee, one of the best nightclubs and pool clubs. The crowd here is noticeably younger and more dressed up than at its neighbors. In 2022 management of the resort passed to MGM Resorts, while the real estate went to outside funds. This is a place where gambling coexists with gastronomy, parties and Instagram-worthy design. The perfect choice for those seeking a modern, glamorous and slightly bohemian Vegas.
