History & atmosphere
Okada Manila is a luxurious integrated resort in the Entertainment City zone on the shore of Manila Bay, built by Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada. The complex, costing over 2 billion dollars, opened in 2016 and immediately astonished with its scale: golden-cream hotel towers, interiors with crystal and marble, and one of the largest casinos in Asia. Its main attraction is the giant multimedia fountain The Fountain, whose jets of water soar tens of meters into the air to music, glowing in all the colors of the rainbow. Inside are luxurious restaurants, a nightclub, a spa and a shopping gallery. The casino targets affluent guests from China, Korea and Japan, for whom baccarat remains the number-one game. In recent years Manila has become an Asian alternative to Macau, and Okada is its most ambitious jewel. The evening fountain show can be watched for free from the grand lobby.
