History & atmosphere
Paris Las Vegas opened in 1999 and brought the atmosphere of the French capital to the boulevard. Its centrepiece is a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower, whose legs literally pierce the ceiling of the gaming floor. An elevator rises to the tower's observation deck, which offers one of the best views of the Bellagio fountains and the entire Strip. Nearby stand replicas of the Arc de Triomphe, the Palais Garnier opera house and the facade of the Louvre, while cobblestone lanes, cafes serving croissants and street lamps create the illusion of Paris. The gaming hall is styled as the open sky of a French square. The resort is famous for its bakery with genuine baguettes, French restaurants and a romantic atmosphere popular with couples and newlyweds. Paris is connected by a walkway to the neighbouring Bally's, now Horseshoe. It is an accessible and incredibly photogenic corner of Europe in the heart of Nevada, where gambling is seasoned with Gallic charm and the spirit of the boulevards.
