History & atmosphere
Resorts World Sentosa sits on the resort island of Sentosa and, together with Marina Bay Sands, forms the gaming duo legalised by Singapore in 2010. It is not just a casino but a vast family resort: home to the Universal Studios Singapore theme park, one of the world's largest oceanariums, the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Adventure Cove water park, a dolphinarium and six hotels for every taste. The casino spans several levels and offers a classic set of Asian games led by baccarat, the favourite of Chinese high rollers. Operator Genting built the complex with family tourism in mind, so the gaming zone sits comfortably alongside entertainment for children. The island is linked to the city centre by cable car, monorail and a pedestrian bridge. In the evenings the resort hosts multimedia shows, and restaurants run by a celebrated chef serve high-end pan-Asian cuisine.
