History & atmosphere
Sobranie is the key casino of the Yantarnaya gambling zone, located near the village of Kulikovo on the Baltic coast of Kaliningrad Oblast. After a trial launch in late 2016, the grand opening took place on 10 February 2017; around 3.5 billion roubles were invested in the project. The complex covers some 18,000 m²: a spacious main hall with 350 slots, 14 tables for roulette and card games, VIP zones, restaurants and a hotel. Sobranie's uniqueness lies in its European position: it is Russia's westernmost casino, in the enclave between Poland and Lithuania, in the land of amber, sand dunes and the Curonian Spit. The focus is on guests from the neighbouring Baltic states and Europe, for whom it is convenient to reach. The atmosphere is restrained and luxurious, in the spirit of old European casinos, and the name "Sobranie" (Assembly) alludes to the idea of a club for the select few. Guests combine gambling with relaxing on the Baltic and excursions around historic Kaliningrad.
